I get by with a little work with my friends

Studying shouldn’t mean suffering. It does mean hard work (and lots of it), but that isn’t the same as being locked in a prison cell with bare walls and a bucket for a toilet.

Learning and studying with other people is a great idea and has some big benefits. Not only does the conversation help the time pass quicker, but you get someone to help explain problems that you struggle with. You also get to help them out, which doesn’t sound like a benefit, but explaining ideas to other people actually aids your own understanding and helps concepts to stick in your mind.

Being accountable to other people increases the chance that you’ll actually revise and having an appointment to study is a great way to start.

As always, having an idea of what you intend to study and what techniques you will use beforehand is essential, especially if your friend is easily distracted.
